Beware of Scam Attendee List Offers – Official ANEXPO Statement

Last Updated: May 26, 2025

At ANEXPO, the safety, privacy, and trust of our attendees, exhibitors, and partners is a top priority. This permanent advisory page is dedicated to addressing ongoing attempts by scammers who falsely claim to offer attendee lists for sale. These scams affect trade shows and conferences worldwide and are in no way associated with Automa.Net or ANEXPO.

What You Need to Know

Every year, before and after the event, unauthorized parties attempt to profit by pretending to sell attendee contact lists for ANEXPO editions. These messages may:

  • Use misleading or generic email addresses (e.g., Gmail).

  • Impersonate ANEXPO or Automa.Net representatives.

  • Claim to offer "verified" or "exclusive" contact lists for a fee.

  • Include our event name, dates, venue, and even stolen logos.

Please be aware:

  • Automa.Net and ANEXPO do not sell, rent, or share contact lists.

  • Our attendee data is protected and has not been compromised.

These scams are fraudulent. Do not engage with them.

How to Spot a Scam

Be suspicious of any message that:

  • Comes from a free email provider (e.g., @gmail.com, @outlook.com).

  • Has poor grammar or vague sender identity.

  • Offers bulk contact information or attendee emails.

  • Mentions an unusually high number of contacts.

  • Requests payment and uses urgency or discounts.

  • Includes opt-out text like "reply with 'remove' or 'leave out'."

What You Should Do

If you receive such a message:

  • Do not reply.

  • Do not click any links or download attachments.

  • Report the message as phishing or spam in your inbox.

  • Forward it to meeting@automa.net for review.
